Ona Segura Lecina

Ona earned a B.Sc. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in 2017 at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), followed by a M.Sc in Applied Chemistry at Universitat de Barcelona (UB). She received her PhD from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2024, working in the group of Prof. Raffaella Buonsanti on developing colloidal methods to grow metal-oxide shells on semiconductor nanocrystals. Ona joined the Congreve lab as a Swiss National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in 2024. She is working on surface chemistry engineering of semiconductor nanocrystals to improve solid-state upconversion devices.
